Lady Macbeth

I look at the pale, cold, white hands...the right with rings on the thumb, middle, and ring finger, the left with just the ring on the thumb...never being able to believe that these hands of mine were able to take a man's life, to help the man that I love to a higher political position. I see not just the rings, but the blood of the innocent king whose throat I slit with the cerimonial knife that my father had given me for my seventeenth birthday. Silent sobs wrack my frame as I remember the man's blood pooling from his mouth onto my hands and pure white dress, a dress that is now stained a light shade of pink in the front where his head had
